The Weekend Roundup – April Edition

The weekend is almost here! And for those of you that think food trucks are only for your lunch break, think again. Last weekend was simply amazing.

We started with a stellar dinner at the brand new Evolution Revolution truck’s brick and mortar, The Blue Glass. I can’t believe we didn’t know about this place before. One phrase: Candied maple bacon with green apples and goat cheese sauce.

Saturday we had a full day beginning in Renton at Downtown Harley-Davidson’s Anniversary Party and Food Truck Rally. 10 trucks. Between the gorgonzola tater tots from Bistro Box and the Classic with a runny egg from The Grilled Cheese Experience, it’s a good thing we came hungry.

Next, up to Bothell to check out the new Make Me Melt at Foggy Noggin’ Brewing. The first truck we’ve seen doing fried green tomatoes. Sandwich them between two heavenly pieces of cornbread and you’re guaranteed to make every southern transplant happy!

THEN a slight swing east to say hi to the Passport to Woodinville trucks. Finally a stop at Letterpress Distillery for a lemoncello sample and a Street Treats ice cream sandwich (which I ate before I remembered to photograph — totally delicious!)
